VP ops

## Role Overview

This role is pivotal in ensuring uninterrupted production, driven by accurate planning, timely availability of electronic components, optimized inventory, and strong MRP/ERP discipline. The position requires deep expertise in managing materials and planning within a complex EMS/PCB/electronics manufacturing environment.

## Key Responsibilities

### Production Planning & Control (PPC)

* Own and drive MPS/MRP-based production planning across SMT, THT, and box-build lines
* Align demand forecasts with capacity and material availability
* Ensure adherence to production schedules and on-time customer deliveries

### Procurement & Vendor Management

* Lead strategic sourcing of electronic components such as ICs, semiconductors, passives, connectors, and PCB materials
* Manage long-lead and imported components
* Develop alternate vendor base for critical parts
* Drive cost optimization and supplier performance

### Inventory & Stores Management

* Own inventory strategy across Raw Material (RM), Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG)
* Improve inventory turns while ensuring zero stock-outs
* Ensure material accuracy, traceability, and cycle count discipline
* Reduce obsolete and aging inventory

### Material Flow & Supply Chain

* Ensure seamless material flow from vendors to shop floor
* Manage inbound logistics, warehousing, and material handling for electronic components
* Strengthen demand planning and forecasting accuracy

### Operational Governance

* Establish KPIs for planning accuracy, material availability, and inventory control
* Drive ERP/MRP system discipline across planning and stores functions
* Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Sales for smooth operations

## Requirements

### Must Have

* 15–20+ years of experience in Electronics / EMS / PCB / Electronic product manufacturing
* Direct ownership of Production Planning, Procurement, and Inventory functions
* Strong hands-on experience with MRP/ERP-based planning systems
* Experience managing vendors for electronic components
* Strong understanding of inventory turns, working capital, and material aging
* Experience handling high-SKU, material-intensive manufacturing environments

### Good to Have

* Exposure to high-mix, low-volume electronics manufacturing
* Experience in global sourcing and imports
* Engineering background (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical)
