Role Overview:
The Regional Sales Head will drive commercial strategy and business growth for the surgical and
interventional medical devices portfolio — including capital equipment — within the assigned
region. This leadership role is responsible for revenue delivery, strategic market expansion,
team development, and key stakeholder engagement across hospitals, surgical centers, and
distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead regional sales operations, owning revenue and profitability targets for
interventional product lines.
Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with corporate goals and
market dynamics.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team of Area and Territory Managers.
Affinely maintained Government/Gem/Army tender business.
Establish and strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), interventional
specialists, and hospital procurement teams.
Drive sales of medical devices disposable product lines through effective account
planning and territory management.
Identify new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and enhance
channel/distributor performance.
Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical, and Regulatory teams for product launches,
demos, and training initiatives.
Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategy
and decision-making.
Ensure adherence to ethical sales practices, documentation, and regional compliance
protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, B Pharma, Biomedical Engineering, or a related
discipline; MBA preferred.
10–15 years of overall experience in medical device sales, with demonstrated success
in Pharma perferable, interventional, and capital equipment segments.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding regional sales targets.
Strong commercial acumen, team leadership, and distributor/channel management
experience.
Established relationships with key hospitals, surgeons, and purchasing networks.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned geography.
