Opportunity Overview
A fast-scaling Indian power electronics company is setting up its first in-house manufacturing facility in NCR. The company builds solar inverters and EV charging infrastructure, with full-stack technology ownership and a strong order book. This role will own the 0→1 setup of manufacturing and anchor production as the company scales.
Role Summary
This is a founding production leadership role. You will be the first senior hire responsible for building the factory from scratch, setting up assembly lines, and running end-to-end production operations. This is not a plant management role.
This is a build-from-zero mandate.
Immediate Priorities (First 3–6 Months)
Set up factory layout, assembly lines, and testing infrastructure
Establish production processes, SOPs, and quality systems
Hire and train the initial shopfloor team
Stabilize output, quality, and throughput
Key Responsibilities
Lead greenfield factory setup: layout planning, assembly line design, testing infra, vendor coordination
Drive production: output, quality, throughput, cost control
Build and lead the team: hiring, training, workforce management
Establish systems: SOPs, safety, compliance, testing standards
Drive continuous improvement: productivity, efficiency, and incentive structures
Ideal Candidate
Tier 1 engineering background (NIT or equivalent preferred)
10–15 years in electronics / power electronics manufacturing (EMS, inverters, EV infra, PCB or adjacent)
Strong 0→1 build experience (greenfield setup or similar)
Hands-on operator with a first-principles mindset
Strong people manager, comfortable operating in ambiguity
What Will Not Work
Candidates who have only managed established plants
Pure automotive assembly backgrounds without electronics exposure
Frequent job movers
Process operators without build experience
