## About The Role

Join us as a Senior Developer 3 (SD3) – Backend, a Senior IC and Technical Leader positioned one level above SD2 and one level below Staff Engineer. In this role, you will own backend architecture and system design for high-scale products, mentor engineers, and act as a bar-raiser for engineering excellence.

You will drive scalable, reliable systems from concept to production, collaborate closely with Product Managers, and influence long-term technical direction in a fast-growing, high-usage environment.

## Responsibilities

* Own end-to-end system design (HLD + LLD) for new features and platform capabilities.
* Drive architectural decisions for backend systems with scalability, performance, and reliability in mind.
* Mentor and guide SD1 and SD2 engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching.
* Maintain and raise the engineering quality bar across the team.
* Build systems from scratch and evolve them to support rapid growth and high traffic.
* Conduct technical interviews for SD1–SD3 levels.
* Collaborate closely with Product Managers to align technical execution with business goals.

## Requirements

* 7-9 years of backend engineering experience (minimum 6 years required).
* Currently operating at an SD3-equivalent level for at least 1 year.
* Strong Low-Level Design (LLD), High-Level Design (HLD) and system design capabilities.
* Solid architecture exposure.
* Proven experience building systems from scratch and scaling them in production.
* Experience handling high-traffic or rapid-growth products.
* Strong backend fundamentals (data structures, design patterns, distributed systems).
* Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
* Experience working in fast-paced product environments.
