## About The Role

Lead and grow a highly skilled team building the core infrastructure for agentic AI systems in a fast-growing SaaS platform. This role combines engineering leadership, system architecture, and applied AI, with a focus on production-ready autonomous agents, LLM orchestration, and scalable platforms. You will shape technical direction, mentor senior talent, and deliver reliable AI systems in a culture that values ownership and outcomes.

## Responsibilities

* Own the technical vision and architecture for agentic AI infrastructure, including agent control flow, reasoning, memory, and RAG systems.
* Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of senior AI/ML engineers, setting a high technical bar through design reviews and coaching.
* Design standards for agent orchestration, tool integration, and interaction with internal and external services.
* Ensure AI systems are production-grade, with strong observability, reliability, security, and compliance.
* Establish AgentOps best practices, including evaluation, monitoring, CI/CD for LLMs and agent configurations.
* Partner closely with Product, Platform, and Core Engineering teams to embed AI agents into real customer workflows.

## Requirements

* 8+ years of experience in software engineering, applied ML, or data science.
* 2–3+ years of experience managing AI/ML or data-focused engineering teams.
* Proven track record of shipping and operating production-grade AI/ML systems.
* Strong system design and architectural decision-making skills.
* Background in applied ML, ML engineering, or AI systems (analytics-only profiles not suitable).
* Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced environments.

## Nice to Have

* Experience with LLMs, NLP, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or document intelligence.
* Experience building shared AI platforms or internal ML infrastructure.
* Background in B2B SaaS or workflow-heavy products.
* Exposure to AI systems at scale with cost and performance constraints.
