Role Overview

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain HireVeda's internal hiring search platform that powers our executive search and delivery operations.

This is an entry-level engineering role where the developer will contribute across both backend and frontend while working closely with the Engineering Lead and founders.

The role is ideal for someone looking to gain end-to-end product ownership in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You’ll Own

1. Backend Development

• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js
• Develop APIs and business logic
• Support platform scalability and reliability

2. Frontend Development

• Build and maintain user interfaces using React
• Develop reusable components
• Improve user experience across internal tools

3. Product Development

• Work on HireVeda's proprietary hiring search platform
• Deliver new product features
• Fix bugs and improve existing functionality
• Participate in feature ownership from development through deployment

4. Engineering Collaboration

• Work closely with the Engineering Lead
• Collaborate directly with founders on product priorities
• Participate in structured knowledge transfer during onboarding
• Contribute within a small, fast-moving engineering team

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a DevOps role
• Not a QA/Testing role
• Not a purely frontend or backend position
• Not a maintenance-only role
• Not a client-facing consulting role

Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

1. Full Stack Fundamentals

Working knowledge of:

• Node.js
• React
• JavaScript
• REST APIs

2. Programming Fundamentals

• Strong understanding of:
• Data Structures & Algorithms
• Object-Oriented Programming
• Problem Solving
• Debugging fundamentals

3. Learning Mindset

• Quick learner
• Comfortable working with guidance
• Willingness to take ownership gradually
• Ability to adapt in a startup environment

Strong Differentiators

• Internship experience with Node.js and React
• Personal/full-stack side projects
• GitHub contributions
• Deployment experience (Vercel, Render, Railway, AWS, etc.)
• Understanding of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience consuming or building REST APIs

Not a Fit If

• No exposure to Node.js or React
• Experience limited to only HTML/CSS without JavaScript frameworks
• No coding projects or practical development experience
• Uncomfortable working independently in a remote setup
• Looking for highly structured corporate environments with limited ownership
