## About the Role

We’re hiring a VP Engineering to lead and actively build an AI-first product platform.

This is not a management-only leadership role — the expectation is a hands-on technical leader who codes, reviews architecture deeply, and accelerates engineering execution.

You will unify engineering under strong technical leadership, ship production AI systems, and improve delivery speed while modernizing legacy components.

## What You’ll Do

### Engineering Execution & Leadership

* Work directly with engineers on design, debugging, and implementation
* Challenge effort estimates and improve delivery velocity
* Establish strong engineering practices and technical ownership culture
* Mentor developers and raise the technical bar across teams

### AI Product Development

* Design and build production-grade AI workflows (LLM-based systems, automation pipelines)
* Implement document understanding, classification, and decision workflows
* Move AI from experimentation to reliable product features

### Architecture & Platform

* Own end-to-end system architecture on AWS
* Lead migration away from legacy backend components
* Improve scalability, observability, reliability, and performance
* Define long-term technical roadmap aligned with business goals

### Organization Impact

* Act as technical representative in leadership discussions
* Attract and inspire strong engineers
* Create a builder-driven engineering culture
* Improve release speed and predictability

## What We’re Looking For

Must Have

* 10–18 years engineering experience with strong coding background
* Currently hands-on with production code
* Experience building systems from scratch (0→1)
* Strong backend architecture and distributed systems understanding
* Practical experience working with modern AI tooling / LLMs
* Startup or high-ownership environment experience
* Comfortable reviewing code and debugging live systems
* Tier-1 engineering institute preferred (IITs / IIITs / top NITs / BITS)

Good to Have

* Experience with document processing / data extraction / recommendation systems
* AWS architecture expertise
* Experience modernizing legacy systems
* Experience representing tech in leadership or investor discussions
