Role:
We are looking for a systems-driven and performance-focused Technical Lead/SDE-2 to build and scale the core backend infrastructure of Stable Money’s fixed-income investment platform. You will be responsible for designing distributed systems, writing high-performance code in Go or Java, and ensuring platform reliability through strong monitoring and CI/CD practices. This role is critical to delivering a secure, scalable, and seamless experience for our users as we grow rapidly in the fintech space.
Responsibilities:
● Design and implement scalable, distributed backend systems to power our investment products and APIs.
● Write clean, efficient, and testable code in Go and/or Java following best practices in modularity and maintainability.
● Own the end-to-end backend lifecycle—from system design to deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
● Build robust infrastructure using AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, SQS).
● Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments.
● Monitor performance and system health using open-source observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and
Alertmanager.
● Diagnose production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to ensure platform resilience.
● Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to ship high-quality features and improvements.
● Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design sessions.
● Contribute to engineering processes, internal tooling, and documentation to raise the bar on team productivity and product
quality.
Qualifications
● 3 - 7 years of experience building and scaling backend systems in a production environment.
● Strong command of Go and/or Java, with a deep understanding of object-oriented and concurrent programming concepts.
● Open to other stackes as well if the candidate is open to explore Java or Go.
● Proven experience designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
● Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and SQS.
● Familiarity with observability and monitoring stacks like Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, or equivalent tools.
● Experience in setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
● Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and caching solutions (e.g., Redis).
● Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to incident resolution.
● Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
● Prior experience working in startups or high-growth product environments is a strong plus.
● Bonus: Background in fintech, investments, or wealth-tech domains.
