About the Role:-
* System Architecture & Extensibility: Design distributed systems that are resilient, scalable, and secure (HIPAA compliant). You will own the canonical data models, API gateways, and event-driven architectures that allow us to onboard new EHRs without rewriting the core engine.
* Tackling the Hardest 10%: You will remain highly hands-on. When a problem is too complex for a standard pod (e.g., building a token-efficient, hybrid LLM to Python parsing engine for payer JSONs), you will architect and code the solution.
* Technical Standard & Mentorship: You are the bar for engineering quality. You will define the patterns, tech stack choices, and CI/CD philosophies. You will mentor Team Leads and Senior Devs through code reviews and pair programming, elevating the entire engineering floor.
* Balancing Speed vs. Scale: Apply your founder's mindset to system design. You will decide when it is appropriate to build a "quick and dirty" prototype to validate an assumption, versus when we must build a bulletproof, enterprise grade service.
Requirements:-
* Entrepreneurial Background: You have previously been a Technical CoFounder, CTO, or the foundational Lead Architect at an early-stage tech company.
* Architect-Level Engineering: 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years operating at an Architect or Principal level. You possess deep expertise in backend systems, database design (SQL/NoSQL/Vector), cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), and modern API design.
* Systems Thinking Approach: You naturally view technology as a system of inputs, constraints, and failure modes. You design for resilience, anticipating edge cases (like third-party API downtimes or schema drift) before they hit production.
* AI/Data Integration: Experience building systems that interface with LLMs (e.g., Azure OpenAI), managing token efficiency, and implementing RAG architectures on top of complex structured data.
* Ownership Mentality: You operate with extreme ownership. You solve the root cause of systemic issues rather than treating symptoms, and you optimize for system leverage over individual output.
