Head of Finance

About the Opportunity

A profitable, fast-growing, PE Backed- dairy and F&B business — selling across D2C and B2B channels and backed by a leading growth-equity investor — is looking for a Head of Finance to build the financial backbone for its next stage of scale.

The business runs a lean, highly automated operating model with strong in-house technology. Finance today is a lean, capable setup; the mandate now is to professionalise and scale it putting in place the systems, controls, and reporting that a growing, institutionally-backed company needs.

The Role

This is a build role. You will own the finance function end to end and take it from a lean accounting setup to a scalable, systems-driven organisation — implementing the ERP, MIS, SOPs, and controls to support rapid growth, while keeping the operation lean and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the finance function as the company scales across D2C and B2B
• Select and implement an ERP, moving the business onto a scalable, automated platform
• Design and institutionalise SOPs across finance, procurement, and operations interfaces
• Build a robust MIS and management reporting cadence for the leadership team and investors
• Own statutory compliance, audit readiness, and financial controls
• Partner with operations on unit economics and the plant operating model
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and procurement finance in a supply-chain-heavy business
• Support investor and board-level financial reporting

What We're Looking For

• Qualified CA (or equivalent) with 8–15 years of progressive finance experience
• Big 4 audit background or significant Big 4 audit exposure
• Hands-on experience implementing an ERP — having led or co-led a rollout
• Proven track record of building SOPs, MIS, and financial controls in a growing or founder-led business
• Comfort operating hands-on in a lean setup while building for scale
• Experience in F&B, FMCG, dairy, agri-processing, D2C, or manufacturing is strongly preferred
• Based in Pune, or genuinely willing to relocate and be based in Pune full-time

The Ideal Candidate

Someone who has been the finance backbone of a growing business and personally built its systems from the ground up — entrepreneurial, systems-minded, and equally comfortable in a spreadsheet, on a plant floor, and in a boardroom.
