## Role Overview
We are looking for a senior operations leader to build and run the complete Supply Chain & Operations ecosystem for a high-growth sustainable materials company. The role covers procurement, production, logistics, inventory, and dispatch, with a mandate to improve efficiency, drive cost optimisation, strengthen compliance, and build a world-class operations backbone.
This leader will ensure high OTIF delivery, implement SOPs and governance, and establish a data-driven operations culture to support rapid scale-up and global expansion.
## Key Responsibilities
### 1\. Operations Leadership
• Oversee day-to-day operations across sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, and dispatch
• Plan, schedule, and monitor production to meet customer commitments
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma
• Align operations with business goals on cost, sustainability, and performance
### 2\. Supply Chain Management
• Lead end-to-end supply chain including demand planning, procurement, and logistics
• Achieve high OTIF and eliminate stockouts
• Optimise inventory, logistics, and material planning to reduce working capital
• Implement ERP-based visibility for real-time tracking across supply chain nodes
### 3\. Cost Efficiency & Optimisation
• Identify and deliver operational cost improvements (target: 10% YoY)
• Improve production yields and reduce wastage
• Drive vendor consolidation and alternate sourcing initiatives
### 4\. Process & SOP Development
• Build, implement, and monitor SOPs across all operations functions
• Ensure process discipline and zero critical deviations
• Establish strong governance and accountability mechanisms
### 5\. Compliance & Governance
• Ensure adherence to statutory, legal, and environmental regulations
• Maintain compliance trackers and close audit observations
• Manage requirements related to labour laws, safety norms, environmental standards, GST documentation, and related procedures
### 6\. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and mentor teams across sourcing, production, quality, and logistics
• Define KRAs/KPIs, conduct periodic reviews, and drive capability building
• Build a culture of ownership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
### 7\. Vendor & Partner Management
• Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness
• Develop alternate vendors for critical raw materials
• Implement a structured vendor rating and review system
### 8\. Reporting & Performance Management
• Establish dashboards for OTIF, cost, yield, productivity, and compliance metrics
• Present monthly performance updates and action plans to leadership

## Candidate Profile
### Education
• B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or equivalent)
• MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain preferred
• Certifications in Lean Six Sigma or SCM is a plus
### Experience
• 12–18 years in manufacturing, packaging, or similar industries
• Proven track record in running plant and supply chain operations at scale
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, planning tools, and process automation
