Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of finance, business strategy, FP&A, and data analytics. The Finance Data Analyst will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to analyse business performance, support financial planning, uncover trends, and build dashboards that provide clear visibility into the company’s operating metrics.
The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely strong with data, curious by nature, commercially aware, and capable of turning large datasets into simple insights that influence business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Analysis
* Extract, clean, and analyse data from multiple internal systems and databases.
* Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in business performance.
* Perform deep-dive analysis to answer key business questions and support decision-making.
Business Performance Insights
* Analyse performance across key business metrics such as growth, revenue drivers, cost structures, unit economics, and operational efficiency.
* Evaluate business performance from multiple financial and operational perspectives.
* Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and business outcomes.
Dashboarding & Reporting
* Design and maintain automated dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into business performance.
* Build structured reporting frameworks for management and leadership teams.
* Automate repetitive reporting processes using advanced Excel, macros, and BI (Power BI) tools.
Business Finance Partnering
* Work closely with business teams to understand performance drivers and support data-driven decision making.
* Provide analytical support for key initiatives, investments, and business decisions.
* Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
FP&A & Strategic Support
* Support financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking processes.
* Regularly build financial models for budgeting, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
* Monitor performance against budgets and highlight key variances and drivers.
* Support leadership with strategic analysis and business case evaluations.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
* Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking using available data sources.
* Analyse industry trends and identify potential opportunities or risks.
Data Automation & Process Improvement
* Improve data pipelines and reporting efficiency through automation.
* Build scalable analytical models and tools to support a growing business.
* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reported data.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
* Advanced Excel expertise (must-have)
* Complex models

Preferred Qualifications
* IIT / IIM/ CFA graduate with relevant years of experience, OR
* Degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, or related quantitative field
