Role Overview
The Head of Technology will be responsible for defining and executing overall technology vision and roadmap. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on ownership of IT operations, ensuring technology enables scale, efficiency, compliance, and a strong consumer experience. The role has end-to-end accountability for core enterprise systems including ERP, POS, WMS, CRM, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and data platforms. Application development will primarily be executed through external technology partners; however, strong exposure to software development, architecture, and delivery governance is essential. A key expectation is leadership in consumer technology, AI-led tools, automation, and analytics to drive smarter decision-making and operational excellence. This role requires high ownership and the ability to operate independently in a fast-growing retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute a scalable technology strategy aligned with business growth and expansion plans
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team on all technology and digital initiatives
• Own and stabilize ERP, POS, WMS, CRM, infrastructure, cloud, and IT security
• Ensure system availability, performance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance
• Lead selection, contracting, and governance of technology and development vendors
• Supervise vendor-led development including architecture review, delivery tracking, testing, and rollouts
• Drive adoption of AI, automation, analytics, and digital tools across operations and consumer touchpoints
• Provide strategic oversight of consumer-facing platforms such as apps, loyalty programs, and digital journeys
• Own cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT risk management frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
• Senior leadership experience in technology or IT roles, preferably in retail or consumer businesses
• Strong track record managing enterprise systems and large-scale IT operations
• Exposure to software development environments, particularly vendor-led delivery models
• High comfort with AI, data platforms, automation, and consumer technologies
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset
• Ability to operate with high autonomy, ownership, and accountability
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
