Head of Operations – Brokerage

Location: Bengaluru | Work Mode: On-site | Experience: 8–15 years | Reporting To: CEO

Role:

Lead and build the end-to-end Operations function for a new-age digital brokerage, ensuring smooth, compliant and scalable day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own customer onboarding, KYC, account opening and activation.
• Manage trading operations, clearing, settlement and pay-in/pay-out across NSE/BSE/MCX.
• Oversee reconciliation, demat/DP operations, corporate actions and back-office processes.
• Coordinate with exchanges, clearing corporations, CDSL/NSDL, banks and other partners.
• Build SOPs, controls, SLAs and exception-management processes.
• Partner with Product & Technology to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure readiness for SEBI, exchange, clearing and depository audits/requirements.
• Build and lead a high-performing Operations team with clear KPIs and ownership.
• Develop scalable processes to support rapid business growth.

Ideal Candidate:

• 8–15 years of experience in stockbroking/capital-markets operations.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of brokerage lifecycle, settlement, reconciliation, DP/demat and KYC.
• Experience with NSE/BSE/MCX, CDSL/NSDL and clearing operations.
• Strong process-building, automation and team-management experience.
• Experience in a digital/discount broker or fintech brokerage is preferred.
• Proven ability to build processes and teams from 0→1 and scale them.
