Opportunity Overview
A fast-growing Indian power electronics company is setting up its first in-house manufacturing facility in NCR. With strong revenue growth and a solid order book, they build solar rooftop inverters and EV chargers, and are now scaling operations.
Role Summary
This is a founding production role -the first senior hire on the factory floor -responsible for setting up the facility, building assembly lines, and leading end-to-end production operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead factory setup: layout planning, assembly line design, testing infrastructure, and vendor coordination
* Drive production: manage output, quality, throughput, and cost
* Build and lead the team: hiring, training, and workforce management
* Establish processes: SOPs for testing, safety, and compliance
* Drive continuous improvement: productivity, efficiency, and incentive structures
Ideal Candidate
* Tier 1 engineer (NIT or equivalent) with 10-15 years in electronics/power electronics manufacturing (solar, EV, PCB, etc.)
* Hands-on builder mindset -comfortable setting up operations from scratch
* Strong people manager with the ability to lead in high-ambiguity environments
* Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing practices (ESD, assembly safety, component handling)
