Role Overview
We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and scale our platform engineering team, responsible for powering multiple high-scale applications. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role combining platform architecture, API design, and data/infra strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the platform engineering team (~12 engineers) and expand the team as required.
* Architect and scale the data platform handling multiple sources, API integrations, and transactional systems for banking/fintech.
* Collaborate with product leaders to deliver new products and features while ensuring high reliability, security, and compliance.
* Ensure platform scalability and performance to handle growth in users, transactions, and data volume.
* Mentor and develop engineering talent, establish best practices, and drive an engineering culture of excellence.
Candidate Profile / Requirements:
* 10–15 years of experience in engineering leadership, preferably with prior platform/data-heavy experience.
* Strong experience in high-scale API design, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
* Hands-on experience in Fintech, Banking, Payments, Aggregators, Neo-banks, or high-scale consumer platforms (OTT, Gaming, Travel/E-commerce).
* Expertise in designing resilient, secure, and compliant systems in a regulated environment (BFSI preferred).
* Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, manage multiple products and cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong architecture and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
