About the Opportunity
We are hiring a senior business leader to lead and scale a high-growth Electronics Components business for a leading technology-enabled B2B industrial platform.
The role will own the overall business performance of the electronics category, including revenue growth, profitability, supplier partnerships, customer acquisition, category expansion, and strategic growth initiatives.
This is a leadership position with significant ownership and visibility, reporting directly to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Category Leadership
- Drive overall business performance including revenue, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute category growth strategies.
- Own category planning, forecasting, and business reviews.
- Identify and execute expansion opportunities within the electronics components ecosystem.
Supplier & OEM Management
- Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, suppliers, distributors, and brands.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and joint business plans.
- Drive supplier performance and long-term growth initiatives.
Customer Growth
- Lead customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
- Develop strategies to increase wallet share across key accounts.
- Ensure strong customer experience and service levels.
Strategic Growth
- Evaluate new product categories and market opportunities.
- Drive new business development initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with sourcing, supply chain, operations, marketing, catalog, and customer success teams.
- Lead execution across multiple stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 13+ years of experience in Electronics Components Distribution, Industrial Electronics, Semiconductor Distribution, or related B2B industries.
- Strong field sales and business development experience.
- Experience managing category, business unit, vertical, or profit-center responsibilities.
- Proven success in supplier and OEM relationship management.
- Demonstrated experience scaling businesses, categories, or distribution networks.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of electronics components, distribution channels, sourcing, and market dynamics.
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making ability.
- High ownership mindset with entrepreneurial thinking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Education
- B.Tech / Engineering Degree required.
- MBA / PGDM preferred.
