Role: Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (Government)
Location: Open across India, with extensive travel for customer deployments

Our client is a fast-growing AI company that builds and deploys AI agent and LLM-based solutions for Government departments and large enterprises. The team works directly with customers, so engineers here see their work go into production in real, demanding environments.
About the role
This is a senior, hands-on position for someone who can own AI solution deployments from end to end. You will work directly with customers and business stakeholders to understand the problem, design the solution, build it, and take it through to production and ongoing support. It is not a back-office engineering role. You will spend as much time with customers as you do in code.
What you will do
- Run customer discovery to understand requirements, constraints and success criteria
- Design and build AI agents, LLM-based applications and agentic workflows
- Take solutions from problem definition and proof of concept through to production deployment
- Write code yourself: Python services, APIs and system integrations
- Own troubleshooting and the customer relationship after go-live
- Work with Government and enterprise stakeholders and navigate complex approval and delivery environments
- Travel to customer sites across India as projects require
What we are looking for
- 8–13 years of experience, with founding-level experience (co-founder, founding engineer or early-team member)
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents, LLM applications or agentic workflows in production, not just prototypes
- Strong Python and backend engineering skills, including APIs, system architecture and production deployments
- A record of working directly with customers on requirement discovery, solution design and delivery
- End-to-end ownership of projects, from problem definition to production
- Comfort with extensive travel across India

- Experience with Government departments, PSUs, large enterprises or other complex stakeholder environments
