Associate Director (Sales)

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview

The Associate Director โ€“ Sales will drive the Client's supply chain finance business by enabling access to customized financing solutions for enterprises and digitizing their supply chains. The role focuses on building and scaling a B2B fintech lending portfolio using data-driven and technology-led approaches.

The incumbent will be responsible for Anchor program initiation, activation, and fresh business acquisition, while ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Drive supply chain finance portfolio growth through B2B digital lending solutions
  • Acquire new Anchor corporates and expand existing relationships
  • Engage with CFOs, Finance Heads, and Treasury Heads to pitch client's SCF solutions
  • Ensure conversion of Anchor tie-ups into active, revenue-generating relationships

Product & Solutioning

  • Design customer-centric lending journeys and innovative credit distribution models
  • Develop differentiated value propositions compared to banks and NBFCs
  • Launch and support new SCF products and customized financing solutions

Credit & Deal Execution

  • Work closely with stakeholders to finalize credit appraisal notes for structured deals
  • Ensure smooth execution of closed deals including documentation and compliance
  • Coordinate with legal teams to ensure regulatory and policy adherence

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management

  • Maintain strong engagement with Anchor corporate teams and regional business units
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and integration (including SAP/system integrations where required)
  • Drive high customer satisfaction and NPS through operational excellence

Team & Leadership

  • Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales and business development team
  • Drive alignment across internal teams for successful execution of business plans

Key Stakeholders

  • Internal: Legal, Regional Business Teams
  • External: Anchor Corporates, CFOs, Finance & Treasury Heads

Required Qualifications

Education

  • MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 institute OR Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience

  • 6+ years in Sales / Business Development / Marketing
  • Experience in Fintech, Supply Chain Finance, or NBFC preferred
  • Startup experience is a strong advantage

Skills

  • Strong sales and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
  • Strong understanding of credit, lending, and structured finance
  • Ability to work with technology-driven financial platforms
  • Vision to transform traditional lending models using innovation
